I also know Ontario and Quebec, the 2 most populated provinces of Canada, use MSN prevalently.

Not sure about the rest of Canada, but I believe it's pretty much mainly MSN in Canada.

Finally having Personal Messages (status messages) support is nice, but I think Offline Messages is as important, if not more important. The fact that someone sent you an offline message (perhaps something important) and you did not receive it (and worse, you don't know that you didn't receive it) is terrible IMO.

In British Columbia, Alberta, and Manitoba it's also MSN-dominated.

People have been requesting personal messages for a lot longer than offline messaging.

What exactly do you mean by this? Because last time I checked, none of the devs really use msn full time, they only use it to test msn functionality in adium, so the fact that it's being updated means that the end user is being considered now.

The fact that the devs are not switching to Yet Another Library mid beta is also considering the end user now because it means not redoing the entire beta for a few features.

I only put we in brackets because i wanted to mean all users of MSN (as it is used in my language, sorry if it is not in english)
And for the "considered" in the future because i tought (maybe i'm wrong) that i read on the blog a while back that MSN wasn't a priority. And maybe it is the reason why it use such an old protocol as compare to other IM software.
But i'm only a simple end user that love Adium and i know close to nothing about LibPurple and i surely don't want to irk anybody.

You could try logging in at http://www.meebo.com and block the contact there. Then he should be also blocked when you use Adium.

This needs testing, if it's a bug or not (I say it probably is)
You should test if you're able to block/unblock, and report your findings here (you= any/all of you) and also specify what msn-client the party you're trying to block is using...
and ONLY test/report if you are using dimmuxx's newest build (should say "1.3b7-2434" or higher, in the "about Adium" window) report your ordinary adium beta msn-pecan issues ELSEWHERE please

Yepp, and be sure to have a debug log which shows what happens too.

Hi.

When can we expect a new update?

Or is it now better to use the 'official' Adium beta?

In the later part of next week or early in the week after that.

B9 have some bugs and is mostly msnp12 fixes and some memory leaks removed so that's up to you to decide. The only important msnp15 fix since last build is a really rare OIM bug that crashes Adium when you try to recieve OIMs.

Using B6 is not recommended since it has a lot of msn bugs and one really bad xmpp bug.

Does it crash or what happens? crash & debug log would be good to have. It might be the rare OIM bug or some Adium specific bug.
