Expand input field

For some unknown reason I like having more space to type in than text could fit. How can I expand the text entry field?


Mentioning auto expansion would be excellent here.

To give yourself a larger area to type in you can select the bar directly above the text input field and drag it up and down to change input area size. alternatively once you type past one line the text input field automatically grows to allow you to see all the entered text
