Username and timestamp on each line (like IRC)

I recently got my first Mac having used Windows and Linux previously. I like Adium but one thing that annoys me is that if you send multiple messages in a row they get clumped in one group instead of all being treated as equal, separate messages as it is in most other chat clients.

ie. something like this

[3:20]User: message text goes here
[3:20]User: a second message text by the same user
[3:21]User2: more message text

I searched google and trac with no luck. How can I go about changing this?

Try a different message view style.
If you don't like the ones that come with Adium you can check http://www.adiumxtras.com/ for alternatives.

Try "fixed minimal_mod", which is a modification of the bundled "minimal_mod" style in Adium.
