Contact names change to original nicknames with beta version

Hello,
I used to use Adium 1.27, everything is OK.
As soon as I start a beta version, some buddies change from the customized name in the contactlist to its nickname.
As soon as I use the stable version the names are customized again...
Any help?

Please do a search, or at least look at the threads on the front page next time. I believe
this is the same issue as you have.

We have not been able to reproduce this problem, so we need your help, marcelswietza, if it's going to be fixed.
Please file a
Trac ticket and include the Adium Debug Window contents of signing in just your affected account with the current beta version. Also include the Adium Debug Window contents of the correct behavior occurring when using Adium 1.2.7 debug (trac.adiumx.com/wiki/CurrentAdiumDebug).

With the current debug (1.2.5), I can't connect to ICQ (tooo old...).
But I'll post at least the log of the Beta.

I've uploaded 1.2.7-debug and updated the CurrentAdiumDebug page to link to it so you can post the log of just the affected account connecting with each version

Oww, just had the probem that not just ICQ accounts are affected, also my Jabber and I think my MSN account...

the problem has been solved!
BIG thx to evands, robby and the other developers.
Unfortunately, the ticket has been closed.
My remaining question is: What was the reason causing this issue?

marcelswietza: we were using libpurple functions that prioritized the wrong alias; switching to using the correct functions fixed the problem.
