Hi,
I just installed Adium for the first time but unfortunately I have trouble with sending messages.
I have a fresh and un-pimped 1.2.7 and only one account set up. When I send messages to another account (same jabber server, recieved on my pc) there is a delay of about three minutes and after that the message will be repeated for quite a while (record stands at just under four hours, two times per minute, regardless of the other person's online or offline status). If I send a second message it will happily join in with the others after a couple of minutes. Interestingly though, I will recieve messages from the other person's account straight away and only once. Furthermore, there are no problems whatsoever when just using Windows and Miranda client on both ends.
Does anyone know how I might be able to solve this issue?
Thanks a lot,
Otto.

Re: delayed and endlessly repeated jabber messages
This is not the first time I have heard of this problem but we haven't been able to get to the core of it.
Please try creating a new OS X user account, load Adium and see if the same thing happens. If it does, then see Current Adium Debug for how to get a debug build of Adium to run in the new user account - please ensure that you only connect to Jabber, and only communicate with that one contact during the course of capturing the debug log so as to ensure we get the right info to help solve the problem.
Some more questions, if the above suggestions don't fix the problem:
1. Does this happen with any other contacts using Jabber?
2. Is it specific to only one Jabber server?
3. Does it happen using iChat as your Jabber client?
4. For those contacts that this problem does occur with, are they all using the same client application?
