Contact List Name Display

I cannot, for the life of me, figure out how to get rid of my buddies screennames.

Example: Instead of it just saying "Morgan" it will say "Morgan <morgan b ggs>"

How do I make it so I can just see the nickname I give for the person?

I'm sorry if this has been asked before, I couldn't seem to find anything specific on my question.

With Adium open, go to the "View" menu at the top of the screen, then go to "Contact Name Format", then select "Alias"

That shoud do it for you.

i selected "alias" in the contact view window but when i scroll over the name in the list, the window pops up with the away message and at the top it shows the alias then the screen name in parenthases behind it. how do I get it to just show the alias in the pop up window?
