I'm not sure if I'm remembering things wrong, or if I made some kind of change that could effect this, but I swear Adium used to display the timestamp when contacts of mine disconnected, if I had an open tab with them. Now I'm no longer seeing that, and there are a couple of scenarios where that was very useful for me. Was there a change that would effect this functionality, or a setting I should tweak to get this?

They do display for me using Renkoo.
This might be related to your message style. You could try a different one and check.
