message background

Hi, whenever I log on to AIM, and either someone messages me, or I try to message someone else, the message box is white, and i can't see any messages exchanged. However, if I quit and log back in, it corrects itself to the background I configured it to. The strange thing I noticed is that the messages preferences is whited out as well.

Any ideas?

This a known bug filed in #10067. If you could provide the Console logging evands asked for that would be very helpful.
