Hey,

I have aliases for most of my MSN contacts in Adium 1.3. However, there are some that I don't have aliases for, as I want their display names showing. This was fine up until 1.3. Now, one of my contacts without an alias shows as their name in Address Book - it's matching by email, I suppose. I'd much rather have it use either an alias or display name, not an address book name.

Can this be done?

That just allows me to assign an alias, I'm looking for a way to remove the Address Book name integration and have their own display name show.

Doesn't changing the settings in Preferences → Advanced → Address Book work for you?

Absolutely didn't see that! Why I didn't do the usual settings crawl, I don't know.
