1.3 bug: "Unable To Retrieve Buddy List"

Just updated to 1.3 and immediately started receiving "Unable To Retrieve Buddy List" notices. From what I could find on other forums this is an old bug that noone bothered to fix because they couldn't test it properly.

Even if this is a minor issue the problem I have with it is that it generates a popup every minute that _requires_ attention (what the imbisil that decided to make such an intrusive "notice" thought he would accomplish by this beats me), meaning that I simply cannot run Adium anymore.

This was a server error I encountered myself and saw some other people report on other forums.
However, the issue appears to be resolved now.

It doesn't seem to be fixed with me. Every 60 seconds or so I get a growl notification and a new error dialog:

"The AIM servers were temporarily unable to send your buddy list. Your buddy list is not lost, and will probably become available in a few minutes."

This also causes Adium to bounce in the dock. Since this is really obtrusive, I'll have to quit Adium and see if it gets better later. It would be great if, even if this error is serverside, Adium were able to behave a little better as far as endlessly repeating it with a visual notification and alert state in the dock.

Yes, I have seen this sporadically today, sometimes with my ICQ account, sometimes with AIM.
Apparently, it's a temporary server issue.

You needn't quit Adium, just disconnect the affected account.

Since it only happens sporadicly, and since you've decided that the resolution to the problem is simply to disconnect mean that this bug will never get fixed (and I'm not refering to the server side bug)?
