Adium 1.3.1b1 MSN display name problem

Post by foodtastenice »

For some reason, in my contact list, it shows that my MSN display name is one I haven't had set for about a month (I added myself to my contacts).
A few of my other contacts tell me that the display name matches what I have set in preferences, but it still displays as the old one for me.
I first noticed this (I think it first appeared here) when I was added to a multi-contact conversation.

There seems to be some problem with the server stored aliases in msn-pecan since it's disabled now so this is probably related to this.

Yes, you can submit a patch to the maintainer of MSN-Pecan.
