^example. I noticed after a while (days sometimes) Adium forgets that it's supposed to check spelling as you type.. I've made sure the checks are in the proper areas (right click->spelling and grammar->check spelling and grammar while typing).

Any ideas on how to fix this? Is this a known issue? I remember reading in the patch log that this was supposed to be fixed.

(running on a macbook pro 10.5.4)

Oh yeah, the fix for this is to close down and reopen Adium.

I'm having the same issue. Did you ever find a fix for this (besides restarting Adium)?

Unfortunetlly no Josh, my next move will to be completely reinstall. I started using Adium about 1.28(i think) and never had this problem. Since then I've done the updates. So I'm thinking updating causes the issue.

I'm afraid I cannot reproduce this.

actually, upgrading to the beta has seemed to fix this issue for me. i'm now using 1.3.2b2 and it seems to have gone away. it might be worth a try.
