Weird issue I am having since 1.3
Although I am connected to MSN none of my contacts shows, they all appears offline.
once someone start chatting I can carry on the conversation. but adium keeps him offline.
Anyone experiencing the same?
This is happening with only one of my accounts. So I do not think it is a bug with Adium, but it still bugs me not seeing my contacts

Hi, I'm having the same this issue since 1.3.2b1. For two times i've deleted preferences and the application support folder, but the problem remains, and it's very annoying. However, when I'm logged in msn I'm able to chat also if my buddies are not visible (they see me). Thanks for attention, hope can be useful to solve the bug.
Edit: Mmm I've just read another 3d about a similar problem...it seems that unchecking "check for new emails" solves this problem.

anyone knows if this has been solved in 1.3.2?

coz i find it a little annoying to have to uncheck automatic email checking..

It's was already fixed in beta 2.

I'm seeing the same thing with the 1.3.2 release. I can log in with Meebo and see that they are online, but not with Adium. What is interesting here is that it isn't all of my MSN contacts, just some of them. I've tried:
1) Deleting the ~/Library/Application Support/Adium 2.0/Users/Default/libpurple/blist.xml file
2) Deleting the account and re-adding it to Adium
3) Deleting the user and adding them

Note that if they send me a message, I can respond, but if I attempt to send a message I get an unknown error.

I see exactly the same. And it's definitely Adium - I don't have these problems with MSN messenger.

jtoebes & moyse: Do a proper trac ticket about the problem and provide debug logs etc.
