extremely slow in latest beta

Postby ynotcreative » Mon Sep 29, 2008 7:06 pm

Since updating, the systems are extremely slow. Everything seems to be time-delayed. Has anyone else seen this?

Systems tested: Mac Mini (ppc 1.5ghz), DP PMG5 2GHz, PMG5 1.8GHz
Ram: 1GB, 6GB, 5.5GB
OS: 10.5.5, 10.4.11, Server 10.5.5

Nope. We haven't had any such reports recently.

As in you occasionally get the spinning beach ball while Adium tries to catch up to what you're doing? I've had that start in the last 4 or 5 days.

I'm on:
Adium 1.3.3
MacBook Pro, 2 Gig RAM, OS 10.5.6

If this was to me, where do I find the activity monitor? It's ongoing still so I can check

Okay found it. What am I looking for there?
And btw, it is only Adium affected, for me. It's the only aplication that locks up--I can still use my web browser and such when Adium's stuttering

Is Adium's locking up represented in the Activity Monitor?

I see a period of increased CPU usage. Other than that, I don't know where to look

Edit: It did show "Not Responding" during this latest incident

http://trac.adiumx.com/wiki/Sampling has instructions on gathering information for diagnosing hangs and high cpu usage.
