chat window focuses on old messages

Every time I open a chat window, either to start a conversation or accept one, the window scrolled to the oldest messages, and I have to scroll down to see the new message before I can start the conversation. This seems to have started with the previous update.

Any way to change this behavior? It seems very counter-intuitive.

This is a known bug: #10541. You can try a different Message Style for the time being.
