Hello All:

Recently I have been having some issues with my GTalk Account where it just hangs at initializing 25%. I have tried what seems like everything including
  • Uninstalling and reinstalling the program
  • Deleting and re adding the account
If anyone has any other advice please share as I am going nuts here with this....

Thanks

P

Did it just start at some (seemingly) random point?

Yeah, It just started in what seems overnight.

Is there a reset to default setting in case I touched something?

My growl notification also stopped working too if that has anything to do with something I might have touched but highly unlikely.

Thanks for any help or advice on this,

PM

Hrm.
A debug log would be helpful, I guess. The Adium wiki entry CurrentAdiumDebug tells you all about retrieving them.

There is no error in the debug log and everything looks like it should. Do you get an error later in the debug log? If not then this problem is probably related to your network. Do you have any firewall that might block stuff?

Hrmm,

Well I am not sure if this helps but I got more to that debug window which did not show before.

Before that above now I got this --

09:35:47: -[AIAccount(Abstract) retrievePasswordThenConnect]: Retrieving <AIPurpleGTalkAccount:1723c640 8>:pmsquillace@gmail.com's password (promptOption 2)

09:35:47: Setting status on 187478e0 (pmsquillace@gmail.com/Adium): ID available, isActive 1, attributes {
buzz = 1;

}

Not sure if that changes things.

Well,

I don't have a firewall other than what is on my wireless linksys router. Don't see why that would all of a sudden stop it from working.

and just gmail.

Any other thoughts or ideas would be appreciated,

P
