Why can't people see my icon or font? They just see the default aim font and icon how can i fix this?

This is the third mention (admittedly, twice by myself) of this problem (AIM icon not showing), and I've yet to see any constructive reply.
This reply answers only the font issue, my latest post has gone unanswered, and my original post was greeting only with "that's not the subject of this thread."
(It had been narrowed mid-thread to address only the MSN icon.)
I realize this forum is not the official method of reporting bugs, but I'd like to hear if this is recognized, widespread problem, or if there's something we can do to get the AIM icon to show properly.
