Hi,
is it possible to group a single person who is on multiple networks into a single meta-contact (similar to what trillian does)?

Yes it is.
In the Adium-menu->Help->Index->Adium Help->Combining Contacts, you will find how to do it.

Tried that, dragged one contact over the other and confirmed the combination request. Result: Only one of three contacts left, Adium does not recognize it as combined contact (can not expand). Two of the contacts are simply gone now. ???

When you hoover your mouse over the name, you will see they are all in there.
Doubleclicking opens the chatwindow, where you can choose via what channel you want to chat.
Well, this is how it works if all went well.

well, it didn't. Hovering over the contact only shows one account. The other ones are definitely gone. Bug?
