I made a dock icon pack with the adium ducky that changes color according to the state.

First of all, is there a way to make an invisible state? that would be nice... I made a ducky that only has borders, and the color is transparent, so it would look coooooool !!!
I added it to the plist file, but it's not working (I could have guessed that)

Second, I made the icons of the high quality icon. I made the backgrounds transparant, but in the dock itself the invisible comes out as black!!!
I guess that has something to do about the ways I saved it (png), but I don't know what.
Could anybody tell me what's going wrong? and most of all how to fix it?

Third, I used "Replace color" to change the color. it doesn't look that good. okay, they're different colors, but the colors are really bad. what can I do to make it better?

I'm making my first steps with photoshop, so please explain slowly ;-)

I would say use .pngs for transparency.

Also, use the bundled colored Adiumies so that there is no color change.

Another way is to change the Hue.

I found the solution for the transparancy of dock icons, if I do save for web and save in png 24 I get the right transparancy...

And devs: will there be an invisible status for dock icons? I would like this, because then I can see my invisible ducky in action! ;-)

pondering if anyone out there would do me the favour of making a princess leia duck icon, for those who havent seen my screen shots for a star wars set, i got a bunch of lightsabers for status icons...

now im exploring further with the rest of the status icons, ie; message incoming, message waiting etc....

I've tried altering a duck myself, but it comes out looking terrible....

so if there's anyone good hearted enough to make a duck with buns for ears, id be extremely greatful

i dont know if youve seen this already but psiona made some nice starwars ducks (not dock icons thou) maybe you could use those to get started

aye aye, thanks for that, I have seen the duck icons there, only im specificly looking for a princess leia, and sadly my graphic skills are pretty poorly, so I havent had much luck altering one .....thanks anyway

everythings cool, i finaly did a search for 'duck' instead of 'ducks' and found exactly what i was looking for! cheers everybody
