tried with about 7 yahoo accounts from 7 new friends... I just copy/past their yahoo email addresses in the Screen Name and Alias field ... Adium returns:
"Could not add buddy to server list."
help

I've asked my 7 friends to add my account

You can't add the emailadress in Yahoo, you only have to add the alias without @etc.
