Couple issues in both 1.3.2 and 1.3.3.b1

First, the sound has disappeared. Its not my computer, other sounds work fine. I updated frm 132 to 133b1 in hopes that would fix it, and tried resetting my settings. No go.
Second, sending and receiving embedded links is touch and go at best. MOST of the time, I can send/receive the URL. But if I try linking it to a word (eg, making the word "this" link to a website) it will not be received by the other party. And I am not receiving messages with the same embedding. On both ends, it shows that it sent, but the recipient isn't getting the entire message. Tried this with more than one person (one on AIM and one on Trillian), so I know it's a problem on my end.
Third, buddy list isn't updating, on occasion. Someone will sign off and they show as available in my list, and unavailable in the chat window. If I log off and back on, it then shows the persons correct status.
I havent yet filed a bug report. If no one here can help me, I'll go do that.
Also, I have no addons, no modifications except for status alerts.

Is AIM the only service you are using?

No, I also use yahoo. Aim is my primary.
I'd probably give up and use the AIM client, except that I need linked screen names, and cant do that on AIM for Mac (at least not on 4.7, the new 1.0 might, but I hate 1.0

)

Ok.
Well, regarding your
first issue I know too little to help with that. Maybe someone else in this forum can.
I believe the
third issue has been reported in
ticket #10849.
Second issue:
I'm going to ask a few question to narrow down the problem:
1. So, when sending a URL linked to a word like "here" there's no trace of it on the receiver's end?
2. Can you say for sure that sending URLs is only a problem when they are associated to such a word like "here"? / A simple link like "
www.adiumx.com" is received?
3. Does this problem only occur over AIM or over Yahoo as well?

I just read the ticket, for issue three. That is the same problem. Do I need to add to the ticket or open my own?
To your questions about issue 2:
1. That is correct. It will appear to myself as sent (if I'm sending) or to the other person if they're sending to me, but the person receiving it never actually get it. And in this case 'it' means the whole message.
2. My friend and I were ale to send URLs (yes, such as
http://www.adiumx.com) and they came through. However linking it to a word (such as 'this' or 'here') for some reason stopped it from going.
3. at the moment none of my yahoo contacts are on to try it with.

Check out the instructions in the "3. Not a Duplicate:" part of the
Reporting Bugs Adium Wiki entry.

So the person on the receiving end doesn't even get possible other text in the message sent?

Ok, thanks, that answers my question very well indeed.

No hurry.

Okay, so now, the sound seems to have reseolved itself...

Still having link problems though. It works when we're direct connected however. I'm not entirely sure now what the issue is, because I am getting SOME linked words, and not others. Oy this is frustrating...

If we could narrow down the issue, that'd be cool. But take your time, don't expose yourself to unnecessary stress.
