I'd love to be able to have Adium respond to certain (regex'd?) phrases that come in to me from certain users. I can't find any examples of this sort of Applescripting. Can anyone point me at something I have missed, or point me at the right part of the Adium documentation that could get me started on coding up as solution. I'm assuming there's some kind of event handling, but I couldnt find any examples or docs.
Example:
<JOE, "*you there*" , "Sure, what do you want">
<SUE, "*you there*" , "What do you need?">
You get the picture? Basically like a mail filter, but it runs on incoming chat messages, and if it matches a pattern, reply with the response given.
Cheers,
Winton

Re: Conditonal Auto-responses.
Not being a coder myself I don't know whether this will work with AppleScript.
If you're looking for help with it, though, the following entries in the Adium Wiki should be helpful: AppleScript and AppleScript support in Adium 1.2 and Later.

Re: Conditonal Auto-responses.
Thanks Robby, that was a help - now I can applescript a push button response, but I still cant set up an Event Handler for a specific chat window. Hopefully someone else will see this post!
Re: Conditonal Auto-responses.
You could get help at our mailing list or in the developer's IRC channel. See the "Development" Adium Wiki article.
Re: Conditonal Auto-responses.
Current AppleScript does not have access to the messages within a chat. Please see:
