Can't turn of iTunes Now-Playing

I'm getting annoyed by this, i can't turn off the now-playing feature.
Regardless what i set, my NP is always shown to others, so i'm looking for a way to prevent Adium from reading the iTunes status.

1. Which service is this: XMPP or MSN?
2. Is a song stuck or does unchecking the checkbox "Let others know what iTunes is playing" (Preferences - Privacy) have no effect?

I am also having this issue, I'm not sure what the "checkbox "Let others know what iTunes is playing" (Preferences - Privacy)"" refers to in Adium either....no idea what XMPP is either. I've got a regular-ass MSN account that I use Adium with, and no matter what I change my status to, people still see my current song playing in iTunes and it bugs the hell out of me.

Any input would be greatly appreciated! Thanks.

I've seen this happen once on MSN while being away, using 1.4b6. On on my list just wrote me and asked why I was hearing that particular song.. So something is definately not right.

Yeah, I have no idea why it refuses to go away. It's not a one time thing, no matter what I do it STILL shows what I am listening to.

I wanna listen to my damn "Top 100 One Hit Wonders" collection without being lambasted, dammit!

3. pretty irritating. i got caught by my friend listening to songs i'm not supposed to be listening to....
