Увы, у них очень клевое лицензионное соглашение, которое запрещает использовать или разрабатывать сторонние клиенты. Так что или их говноаська, или — чешите, голодранцы, в другие сети. Я уже всерьез задумался над агитацией знакомых переходить в скайп.

Please try to be a little less agressive and more educated...
Remember that Adium is FREE and that Adium's developper are doing their best.
Nobody oblige you to use Adium. Go to Skype, I (and nobody) will surely miss you...

And I think that it is very impolite to write in russian on an american forum

Is it rude indeed? Honestly saying I didn't notice any insult to you or anyone who takes part in Adium developing. But, on the other hand, it's easy to understand our dissapointment. For instance, russian QIP team reacts instantly and releases new builds very quickly. But we have to use AIM, iChat, Toolnet, TOR and any other possibility to keep our ICQ connection alive — without that crappy boring The One. I can't say that's cool, really.

I'm not interested in what you think, my dear. May I decide where to go by myself? I see the problem (very big problem), I see how this problem is fixed in other ICQ clients, and I see no movement in Adium — and silence. All my aggression was in the only word "crap" addressed to AOL and ICQ network. The rest of my post is despair and disappointment. Any questions?

UPD: Oh, about Russian in posts. Sorry, is this topic about problem of russian and ukrainian users? Do you suggest to say any emotional comments in English translating all that funny russian words? Any important comments are translated to English as you can see.

Over Toonel The Duck did work two weeks ago too — that's not hot news. Actually I don't get it — why was Adium working all this time by itself, and today it suddenly reminded that Toonel is important stuff for ICQ messaging? Strange and funny…

If you had bothered to read what I wrote the last time we had this problem you'd be aware of the fact that this problem cannot be fixed by Adium developers.

Adium was working because AOL had reverted their server change. However, it seems that change has been reinstated today. So why not take your complaints to them?

Listen, Robby, there was no hate at all, okay? I was too emotional, that's true, but I wasn't going to blame anyone at Adium team. Sorry for that question — I didn't mention you're incompetent or not professional enough to do your work. I know that you're great, or I'd never run Adium on my Mac. I'm just tired to find my own foolish user solutions to make ICQ work fine — there should be great developer solution, which everybody in Russia and Ukraine is waiting all this time. I understand that questions have to be clear and calm. That won't be a problem anymore. Sorry and thanks for your answer.

P.S. My English is not good enough too. So, I'll try to say in other words anything that could seem arrogate in this post. Once again there was no hate to Adium team in my first post. Peace.

As I've stated before, we will incorporate any fix going into libpurple from the Pidgin developers. So far, they haven't applied any of the patches attached to their ticket.

Proteus' implementation of libpurple is ancient and I doubt it will be updated anytime soon.

Thing that AOL doing now with russia and ukraine it's just a test, and when it will done - be prepared, because they will do it with every unofficial client in any country.

I think Aduim developers should make a fix to prevent that shit in future.

You should read what had been said before. Such a call should be posted on Pidgin forum, not here, because Adium makers don't develop ICQ library. Toonel can solve this problem until patch is released.

Чувак, прочти, все что было сказано до тебя — разработчики Адиума только используют соответствующие библиотеки, а баги в них отлавливает команда Пиджина, на основе которой Утка и построена. Ото абы лозунг толкнуть, блин. Юзай Toonel пока.
