Add account ICQ does not work

Hi!

I tried to add my ICQ account but it does not work. I get a message that I have connected too frequently and I should wait 10 min and try again. I did that. It still did not work. I waited even a week and I still get the same message.
Then I deinstalled Adium and installed it again and again, the same message. What should I do?

Which version of Adium are you using? Try 1.3.3rc1 at http://beta.adiumx.com/ if you are using an older version.

If 1.3.3rc1 doesn't work then I might have a possible solution to fix the problem so report back if it doesn't work.

Hi,

I updated to Adium 1.3.3 on my Intel Leopard 10.5.6 MacBook and still have the same problem as "Ida" posted above. I am using ICQ and AIM (in the prefernces it says something about: BOS -Server not possible, Host is down*)

Maybe you still have an idea!?
Thanks for any help

PS: I am using a german version therefore the translation of the connecting error message * could be slightly different.

That looks more like that you can't connect to the server. Maybe you have a firewall or something else blocking the connection?
