Unable to retrieve buddy list

The AIM servers were temporarily unable to send your buddy list. Your buddy list is not lost, and will probably become available in a few minutes.



Adium works just fine for one of my AIM accounts but for the other it keeps popping this up. i was using it, and then it just disconnected and forever it wouldn't connect. Now it connects and all we get is this! Please Help!

Probably the AIM servers temporarily having difficulty. Try again in a little while, it will probably have resolved itself.

People are reporting issues in #pidgin and I get disconnected a lot from ICQ so it seems that AOL's servers are indeed having problems.

yeah i'm having this same problem now also. it's annoying, it alerts me every minute or so that my buddy list can't be retrieved. over the last few days my AIM has been completely buggy from not being able to retrieve my buddy list to not letting me enter group chats anymore.

I had just been having this problem as well, but my buddy list just loaded. Try again, and it should hopefully work for you also
