Can't change default sound output
I currently have a USB Plantronics headset plugged into my computer, but my primary output are my line-out speakers. However, no matter what settings I change, Adium is defaulting to playing sounds through the headset and not my speakers. Is there any work-around for this?

Of course, now it's working... bizarre.

That's odd. Good thing it worked out for you in the end.

Re: Can't change default sound output
Ah, after a bit of testing, I seem to have sorted it out. I'm using PTHVolume, which displays a drop down menu of the audio source in my menu bar. When I change it through that, Adium doesn't seem to recognize it. However, if I open up the Sound Control Panel and change it, Adium switches its output.Robby wrote:That's odd. It's odd, because all PTHVolume does is change the output in the Sound Control Panel, just via an extra step.

Heh, that makes it even more strange.

Re: Can't change default sound output
I'm having this same problem without finding a workaround. I don't have PTHVolume installed and use the sound control panel for it. No matter what I do, so long as a USB headset is plugged in, Adium's sounds go to the headset. Period. This happens with multiple accounts. I'm running Adium 1.3.2 on a G5 tower that runs OS X 10.4.11. And I have noe Xtras installed. It's a plain vanilla installation.
