Adium used to work fine for a very long time. However all at once it asks for the password of MSN every time it starts.

I check the "remember" box but at next start it has forgetten it again. I use v1.3.3


Is there a solution?

Do you have any error output in /Applications/Utilities/Console.app? I am betting your keychain is corrupted in some way. See http://trac.adiumx.com/wiki/TroubleshootingTips

There is a(error) message saying " could not retrieve password". I looked in the Keychain and there is nothing with "Adium".

Also did a Keychain repair but this also did not solve the problem.

No one suggestion or solution?

Do any other applications have problems saving passwords? Your keychain could be corrupt enough that absolutely nothing would work, in which case you would have to remove and add it.

Have you modified Adium.app in any way?

Adium is the only app with this problem.

Nopes, but I will dl it again and first manually delete any .plist. All files to be deleted will have "adium" in thei name?

Edit: problem solved after erasing all pertaining tot Adium and installing a fresh dl'ed one.

Still strange happening.
