Can two people have separate Adium settings on one computer?

I have Adium on my desktop Mac and also on my MacBook, which my girlfriend is currently using at work. She wants to use Adium with HER chat accounts and contacts and not be mixed in with MY accounts and friends. Can there be two Adium users on one Mac without using a different Mac identity?

Duplicate Adium.app and launch it holding opt, create a new user profile.

or you could have separate logins. That way all of the applications have separate preferences.
