Twitter timeline not refreshing automatically

it seems to me that the timeline is not refreshing automatically, only when i send my own tweet... then i get a rush of tweets coming in. is anyone else experiencing this?

What is your "update" interval set to in the Twitter account's options?

2 minutes. it seems to be an intermittent problem. i'm getting updates some of the time and not others. i will try to pay attention to when these things happen...

There _is_ a twitter server issue at the moment which might be to blame, but twitter's general unreliability could definitely cause the updates to not come in. If the timeline is closed, errors aren't written to it, so you might not know errors are occurring.

i have been getting the following error in my timeline:
Code: Select all
An error occurred: The server is overloaded with requests.
i suppose this could be the issue... we'll see. loving twitter so far
