At some point a few months ago, I signed onto AIM on my phone and the next time I got on Adium, a new group named "Mobile Device" had been created. Apparently my contact list was too large for my cell phone's AIM client, so it only grabbed a subset of my contacts, which I believe are now in the Mobile Device group in Adium. I had never thought much of it, since it seemed to just be duplicates of the groups my buddies had been in; I just left the group minimized, moved it to the bottom, and forgot about it.
At some point in the last week (prior to the new update) Adium started giving error messages saying something about not being able to synchronize contact orphan (or something similar). Again, I didn't know what orphan meant, so I assumed Adium was just displaying a debugging error I wasn't meant to see and ignored it.
After updating this morning, I noticed that I now have a new group named "orphans." Now, both the contacts in the orphans group and the contacts in the mobile device group are not duplicates, but the only entry for said contacts. I signed into iChat to see if it had globally made the changes and found that it had not. I really don't want to go through the effort of resetting up my groups within Adium since I know that somewhere they have been preserved (wherever iChat got the group lists from). Is there a way to make Adium reset my groups to whatever iChat uses?
Thanks,
WinterPhoenix
ps - After using it for 3 years, I still love Adium to death. Great product, devs!

Try the current beta, it supports multiple groups for contacts (which is what this is) http://beta.adium.im

Re: "Mobile Device"/"orphans" groups
That mostly fixed it. Now there are duplicate entries in the original groups, mobile devices, and orphans. It appears like all my contacts are in their original groups. Am I safe deleting mobile devices and orphans?
Re: "Mobile Device"/"orphans" groups
Yes, it'll just remove them from those groups.
