Closing / Twitter

Adium is open in several chats and twitter. Click the window icon and Adium closes (not quits). How do I open it without (1) quitting and starting again or (2) waiting for an incoming message?

Following from this, I have my Twitter update set to 2 minutes. I had closed the window and it had re-opened upon a message from another source. But 2 minutes have past. I see no way to post to twitter. I just - as I type - had an incoming tweet which opened the window I need to use.

Am I missing another setting?

This applies to any service.

I closed the windows so I could check a theme change. I now need to post to an open irc channel but I can't see how to do this. I'll have to wait until someone else posts there first to open that window?

Figured it out for irc.

Window > Chat Transcript Viewer. Open one of the logs and click a link. This assumes adium is the default irc client.
Yet to work out IM channels.

This is a bug with b1, the timeline chat will show up in the contact list after you restart Adium.
