Adium 1.4b1 doesn't display my MSN Alias

Hi,

Since a few days adium doesn't display my MSN Alias anymore, but only my email adres. All my contacts say they only see my email, in conversations as well as in their contact list. I have myself in my contact list, and I only see my email there too. But in converersations I do see my msn alias..
Any idea wat could be the problem?

I'm getting this problem too. I see my e-mail address instead of my alias listed under my contacts. However when starting Adium, my customized alias does appear in Growl and it also appears in my conversations. I tried to downgrade Adium in an effort to fix this error but didn't work.

I guess the only temporary fix so that we, ourselves, could see our own customized alias in the contacts is by right-clicking then entering the alias name manually.. but then what's what point of having an option to customize alias names in the Adium preferences? Even doing that I doubt the settings would carry over to the other end of the conversation.

Anyways... Please look into this problem and fix as soon as humanly possible!

The msn servers have been dropping people's aliases from time to time lately but changing your alias to something new and then back should fix it. This also happens for people who use the official client btw.
