Is it ever possible to appear as "Idle"? Or must I be 100% "Online" whenever I want to look at my Facebook friends list?
*Edit: ok... so I searched the adium website and found this ticket that describes what i'm talking about perfectly:

Now I don't know what either of those comments underneath the ticket mean and I'm just wondering what, if anything, I can do to fix/change this. If I need to download an updated plug-in or what. Anything. I'm not trying to be a pain in the a**, I'm just genuinely curious to find out if there's a fix for this. So, again, any response would be awesome; even a "you're just gonna have to wait for an update, dumb***" if necessary.

Have you tried the latest beta and see if it has been fixed? Please report back if it has.

I'm running 1.3.4
and no I haven't tried the latest beta.. I usually stay away from them because I don't want to deal with any bugs but if you think that might help I'd gladly give it a try.

I tried the latest beta. I didn't work.
And I definitely think that this is not how it should be considering there is an option to set your Facebook status to the same thing as your Adium status or, if you please, set a separate, custom Facebook status. Two 'features' that are literally useless as they do absolutely nothing when you try to use them.
