All of a sudden, my contact list seems to have disappeared. I've trying bringing it to the front, selecting it from the menu, but nothing. Restarted and updated Adium, still nothing. I use Adium all the time, where did it go?

I have my contact list hide of the screen, and sometimes it just doesn't show up. Try this:

Go to Adium>Window

Instead of clicking "Show Contact List", press the keyboard shortcut, Command-/ while the menu is still open.
