Okay, so I've been using Adium for some months now, with minimal problems. Nothing that I didn't figure out how to fix eventually. And this recent update including Twitter and IRC support rather interested me. Hell, condensing 3 programs into 1? The whole reason I use Adium in the first place. (I have far too many IM accounts) And Twitter works very well, happily. With IRC, however, I seem to have run into a brick wall.
Now, I only started using IRC recently, maybe a few weeks back, and I only spend time on one particular server, so there isn't much to setup. One server ident (if I am phrasing this right) and one nickname.
So I go in to add an IRC account, I fill everything out, all the values in the fields, as they correspond according to field (or box, I suppose) names from Colloquy.
Chat server, server port, username, nickname, "Real Name" and pass (which happens to be a nick pass if that makes any difference. I hope not.
It will log in to the server, however, it does not seem to log into my proper username, as I get a Growl message titled nickserv saying my nick isn't registered.
Which is bull, because it works fine in Colloquy. I know the problem is in Adium. I also get a 'defserv' message that I'm a bit confused about.
Any help on this matter would be highly appreciated.
