Ok, but it seems that I have no option for opacity after I choose a custom backround picture. Could you please say where is this option?

I don't think it will be possible to include this function into adium itself, as I'd imagine that making adium put transparency to a normal jpeg or the like would be somewhat resource intensive (just a guess, could be wrong). The way to get a transparent picture is to open it up in a photo editor such as photoshop and save it as a partially transparent png or something, then put it in adium on top of a bg color with 0% opacity.

Hey folks! This opacity thing looks awesome, but my color picker is missing that option.... It looks just like the last screenshot, except the opacity bar is missing, from all the color picker sections. Any ideas?

Are you using 1.0svn?

I'm not the original poster, but thanks for pointing this out. Just started using svn, and didn't realize this was one of the advanced features available. It's coooool! 8)

It seems like the opacity trick only works with a select few message styles.
Essec is one.
And possibly

it works with an message style that lets you set your own background colour

Probably my fault, but I seem to not have this option as well...
clicky for screen
Edit: Nevermind, have to put a (partially or fully) transparent png as the background image first. This is non-intuitive and should be documented somwhere... but i'm sure the devs just haven't gotten around to it yet...

You're using a pre-release product, the gui is subject to change.

I assumed as much, though, being a sorta public test of the application - I felt like I'd add my comments

SVN is by no means a public test of the application, a public beta is. Otherwise it's meant for developers or those who want to be like developers and use the bleeding edge they work on.

Is this to say that the people using it who aren't actively developing it should hold comments on it entirely? (no sarcasm, im just curious if i should be mentioning bugs that I come across, or if i should assume that the devs know of them already)
