Adium 1.3.4 & Google Talk

I'm having trouble using Google Talk on Adium 1.3.4. I've added my account and it says it's connected and online, but none of my contacts are showing up. I've tried logging into my wife's Gmail account and it's still showing me as offline even though I'm connected through Adium. When I try and send myself a message it doesn't come through. Anyone have any idea why this might be?
