Auto-Open IRC Channel

Hello Experts!

Hopefully someone can provide me some advice. I've set-up an IRC channel to display in my Contact List in Adium. However, I often forgot to open it and miss-out on valuable chatter. Is there a method to auto-open a dialogue box (chat window) with the channel when Adium launches? I'm thinking that it might be possible in a similar way that Twitter auto-opens when a new message is posted by someone you are following. Maybe even display new messages with Growl.

Any help you could offer would be greatly appreciated.

If you open the account associated with the IRC connection, there is an "Options" tab. The "execute commands on connect" can be used to join channels using commands like "join #channel".

Adium 1.3.x doesn't support IRC so I'll move this to the "Beta" subforum.

I'm using Adium 1.4b8. The suggestion above worked perfectly. Thanks for your help!
