Someone told me I could use something called Tor for better security in chat.

Anyone know how to set this up?

Please understand: this isn't exactly an Adium question and therefore doesn't belong here.
You can find more information on Tor at http://www.torproject.org/index.html. If that doesn't get you far, you can still ask in a general Mac forum.

You're welcome. Tor isn't something Adium-specific. To use Adium with Tor you just need to enter the Tor proxy in your account's settings in Adium - no plugin needed.
