Hello,

Recently, Adium has begun demonstrating some strange behavior. I haven't been able to find anything like it. Basically, my name is no longer displayed in chat windows or chat transcripts, but other users' screen names are. This is what a transcript window looks like:



And in live chat windows:



It happened suddenly so I can't pinpoint a cause. I've tried reinstalling Adium, no visible effect. I also turned off fetching names from Address Book. Also, nothing. I'm sure it's a relatively simple fix. Any ideas?

What do you mean by "reinstalling"?

Just replaced the preference files/app file with factory defaults. Reinstall isn't really the right word.

You could give the different Troubleshooting Tips a shot.

Was there ever a resolution for this. Did the format change?

It seems some of my logs dont display my name or who I am chatting with, just the text of the conversation which is a bit confusing
