MSN contact won't go invisible

Hello.. I am using Adium 1.3.6 on a Mac Powerbook running OSX 10.4.11
There is a contact that both of my MSN accounts share which I had previously set to be visible at all times, even when they weren't online. I now no longer want this, but even with the "Always show this contact" box unchecked (on both accounts), they are still visible in my contacts list 100% of the time, whether they are online or not. I should also mention that they are now blocked as well, so maybe that has something to do with it? (And unfortunately, no, unblocking them is not an option.)

Any idea?

I'm not sure if this will fix it but since they are blocked you could go to the View tab then "Hide blocked contacts" and see if it hides them that way since you state the other way doesn't seem to make a difference. Good luck.

If unblocking them is not an option, it sounds like you don't ever want to speak to them. Perhaps remove them completely from your contact list?

and hehe you're definitely getting warmer, but no, deleting isn't an option
i can't really see anything i've overlooked and i'm starting to think that it's just a bug... dang
