Recently, I've been ticking off some of my friends as they've been trying to webcam with me, regardless of the fact Adium doesn't (officially) support it. Now, in most situations this wouldn't be a problem, but it's the fact Adium doesn't mention anything to me when they try to initiate a video session that's bothersome, as it looks like (to them) that I'm ignoring them.
Now, last I checked, under Yahoo in Adium, it does give a notification message to me, so I'm curious as to why it doesn't for MSN, for the sake of consistency.
The most I could find on the tracker was this ancient report which was closed : http://trac.adium.im/ticket/8508
I can understand there not being any webcam support (officially) for Adium, but I could use the notification message so I can log onto an alternate client that does (in which case, would be Yahoo's official Mac client, and aMSN for MSN, albeit it's webcam support is hit & miss), or at least acknowledge to my friend that they're trying to do something with me.
Receiving the webcam "notification" message for MSN?
Re: Receiving the webcam "notification" message for MSN?
This a good point. Maybe http://trac.adium.im/ticket/4317 would be an even better solution.
However, our few developers are working on other things. Like with most other bug reports and feature request we'd certainly welcome any help or contribution.
