CPU overheat

Hi
I was having issues with my two processors overheating for nearly two weeks now.
Many things crossed my mind. One being that I did a Java update on Leopard at the same time this started happening.
However, I was reassured that this was not the case.
I also noticed that mds process was making a great deal of fuss in the processor usage.
However, this morning I finally hit on something.
I had the latest beta 1.4 of AdiumX installed.
I looked at my processes and found that it was taking 63+% of the processors almost constantly.
I have now downgraded to the latest stable version 1.3.6 and my fan is not spinning half as much and my CPU actually reached 58C today. Lowest its been in a while.
I don't know if its a memory leak or something, but it seems to have been the culprit on my machine.
Hope this helps in any fixes.

Hello, I've had the same. I think this was due to the use of an applet or an application. For me, it was the Istat Menu meter & safari which cause this overheating.

I've no miracle solution. I've tried each and seen if it change something :

Erased Safari preference files
erased Adium preferences and daowngraded to 1.3.6

In many many many times, problems come from preferences or from the folder Adium 2.0 and form preferences.

Is THIS why I keep hearing my macbook fan kicking up to high sometimes?!
