How do you do this with Adium?

Postby Alertm3h » Sat Oct 24, 2009 5:53 am

I only want to receive alerts for when certain people log onto Facebook chat, not my whole friends list. Is there a way to receive a sign on, idle, and sign off alert for certain people on your Facbeook friends list?

Remove the general event in preferences. Then for each 'special' user, select it in the contact list, right-click and choose 'Show info'. Then under events you can set specific actions for each user.

All I see is when contact becomes idle.

Seconding the OP's problem with only "Contact becomes idle" action available.

This summer, I added some "Contact signs on" actions for several contacts, and these are still saved, but the only other options are a list of about 15 "Contact becomes idle" choices.

Other contacts look the same, except 'Sign on' doesn't show up.

This is with Adium 1.3.7, using snow leopard
