I'm not really sure why this shows up but it does:



Could someone tell me what the "1" means inside the red and what I would need to access to make it go away? My gut is telling me it may be messages received that don't go directly to my AIM for some reason? Thank you!

That's the number of unread messages you have.

That's what I figured but sometimes it'll show up and I won't see any chat boxes or IMs from anyone, so I know there are messages but I don't have access to them it seems.
