Own Status Not Automatically Displaying

This is detailed reasonably thoroughly on an Adium bug report here (http://trac.adium.im/ticket/12688).

My issue is as such:
Put most simply, the status message only appears to others as a status if I manually set it.

Scenario:
Open Adium and allow it to connect.
Set a status message.
Put computer to sleep.
Wake it up.
Adium reconnects, and dock/menu icons reflect the status message still (and away/available state), however, when viewing from other users, I have no status, only Away (or Available). Status message is sent properly as an auto-reply if IMed.
Changing the status state or message in any way makes it appear for other users again.

This also will occur if I add myself to my own contacts list for testing and seems to be independent of what account is being used (Normally have GChat, AIM, Yahoo, and Facebook signed on simultaneously).

Running 10.6.2 with Adium 1.3.8, but also occurs on a completely separate Adium install on a 10.5.8 and a clean 10.6.2 with different configurations.

If it's important, I receive regular Console messages from Adium reading:

Code: Select all

Nov 24 11:55:51 Nautilus [0x0-0xf00f].com.adiumX.adiumX[210]: (process:210): Json-CRITICAL **: json_node_get_int: assertion `node != NULL' failed
Thanks for any assistance.

The ticket is pretty detailed, yeah. :)

Please add any relevant information to it. Hopefully, one of the developers will have a look.

As noted in the bug report, I've isolated this problem down to the AIM service. GTalk, Facebook, and Yahoo IM do (and probably always have) work fine. Attempting to use the AIM server that their software uses (kdc.uas.aol.com:443) gets stuck at 20% connection (Screen name sent), so that's not an option. Any ideas?
