I work at a lot of different locations and change my status message to reflect that. Is there a way, even through third party software, to automatically change my status message based on, say, the network I'm connected to? Thanks!

MarcoPolo <http://www.symonds.id.au/marcopolo/> can do this. You can run an Apple script on change of location to change the status message.
