What do you recommend for windows?

Postby patddfan » Wed Dec 09, 2009 5:26 am

I am a Mac user 95% of the time, but 5% of the time, I'm forced to use windows. as much as I like Fire, I need something that not only supports Windows, but supports both iPod Touch, and Mac OS 10.4.11. I have been using eBuddy, and it's great on iPhone, but it is very boring. I have used Trillian (which now supports iPhone [$5], and pretty soon, there will be beta testing for Mac), but they charge for it. anyone got any suggestions?

P.S. AIM, Yahoo, ICQ, and Facebook have official iPhone Applications. please update your FAQ. thanks!

Adium uses the same library for most protocols that Pidgin uses - http://pidgin.im

I second the recommendation for Pidgin.

Otherwise, would Miranda work? It's a bit basic, but people seem to like it.

I've tried both Trillian, Ebuddy, Meebo, and Pidgin, but nothing is even similar. my PC has since died in the process!
