Request for live text contrast with background image. I want a message box that look like small bubble, has a see through background and the text auto contrasts with the desktop image. thanks

I think he is saying have the message view's background transparent, and then build in a color pref which set's itself to the opposite of the background colour more or less. I think the background thing is only doable if the webkit or webcore is changed to allow it. The colored text actually sounds cool, as it could be also used to contrast a colored message background. maybe a hex converter which does opposites?

Ok, for the background, that could be (quite) easy. But the hex conversion... :roll:
How do you do when the background is a picture, with many colors?
You will have to have a color picker working for pixel of text? Using 99% of your processor!? :twisted:

I think it is not serious...

Watch to much movies!

Or, have an uniform color for your desktop, the same for Adium and choose an another color for your text! Same result! Computer use: 0%! :lol:

or, have a transparant background, and with css put a box around the text.
The effect is not perfect, but it might come close...

Anyway, I wouldn't want to be the one reading that if my desktop has many different colors ;-)
